I am Divija. A student of Primary 5 in Haig Girls School... and SkoolArt4Good is my creation. I need your support to make this art charity movement a huge success.
Born and Brought up in Majula Singapore, we are so blessed and privileged. I always thought that all children around me live very happy and contented lives. That we all have super mothers, that we all get our books and toys, and we all have nice holidays.
But one day, when my mother took me to an Orphanage in India, I realized that there are many and many children who are not so lucky. We took sweets, chocolates, crayons etc. for these children, and when we gave these, I was struck by how overjoyed they were. These children could have been my friends, or my fellow classmates - they were no different to me.
That's why I decided to start SkoolArt4Good. I thought if I could sell my own art pieces, and encourage some of my friends to sell their art as well through this website, we could then donate that money to Orphanages where the kids could then buy books, toys, food etc. I know that I am perhaps not a great artist, but I hope there would be people who would also want to see the smiles that I had seen in that orphanages, and come up to help me in my endeavor.
